Who we are
PokieOffer.vip is an independent review site built for Australian players, and you can contact us any time at hello@pokieoffer.vip. We don't run a casino, we don't take bets and we never hold player money. Our job is writing reviews and guides. That work is funded by affiliate partnerships, which pay us when a reader clicks through to an operator from one of our links.
What data we collect and why
There are no sign-up forms or user accounts on this site. Browsing our pages doesn't hand us your name, your payment details or anything else that identifies you. In short, we collect two kinds of information: anonymised analytics about how people use the site, and whatever you decide to tell us in an email.
Analytics: Matomo
Our analytics tool is Matomo. It tells us which pages people read and how well the site is running as a whole, so we can see which guides are helpful, where readers leave, and what could be better. The details Matomo may record include:
- Page views: the pages you open and the path you take between them.
- Rough location: generally just your country or region, estimated from your IP address.
- Device and browser: your device type, screen size, operating system and browser.
- Referring site: the website or search engine that sent you to us.
We collect this solely to help us improve the site. It's never sold, never used to build an advertising profile and never used to figure out who you are. Wherever we can, we configure Matomo to remove identifying details, for instance by shortening full IP addresses.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. We may use them so the site runs properly and to power the analytics mentioned above, such as recognising whether you've been here before. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings whenever you like. Just keep in mind that parts of the site might not behave as they should afterwards.
Affiliate links and redirects
PokieOffer.vip is paid for through affiliate arrangements. Clicking a "Play Now" button or any other casino link usually sends you through a tracking redirect first. That lets the operator see you came from us, and it's how we earn a commission without costing you anything extra. Once you've left PokieOffer.vip for a casino or another third-party site, their privacy policy and terms take over from ours. Reading a site's own privacy policy before you register is always a good idea.
Email contact
When you write to hello@pokieoffer.vip, we receive whatever you send, which is normally your email address and your message. We only use it to answer you and to act on any feedback or corrections you've passed on. It's never used for marketing, and we don't share it with anyone else for marketing purposes either.
Data retention
Analytics data stays with us only while it's actually useful for tracking trends and making the site better. After that, we delete it or anonymise it further. Emails are kept until your enquiry is dealt with, then for a reasonable stretch afterwards for our records. Beyond that, we never keep personal information longer than we need it.
Third-party services
To function properly, the site pulls in a handful of third-party resources, such as web fonts. Much like analytics tools, these providers may pick up basic technical information (your IP address and browser type, for example) just by delivering their content to your device. We try to pick providers with a good record on data handling, but naturally we have no control over what they do on their side.
Changes to this policy
This policy isn't set in stone. As the site grows, or as the tools we use behind the scenes change, we may revise it now and then. Each time we do, we'll refresh the "Last updated" date at the top of the page, so it pays to check in every so often.
